Alcohol Free
The best way to stop drinking alcohol is to create an aversion to it it. I did this by accident in 2012 and I’ve never touched a drop of alcohol since. I did it by allowing my mind to change the particular type of alcohol I used to drink into a visual memory that I connected to something disgusting. I also included not only a visual, but the olfactory and gustatory senses. So in effect, without realizing it, I hypnotized myself into the idea of never touching alcohol again, and that is what occurred.
I also add that much drinking or overdrinking is trauma, based often on the feeling that one can be oneself, the illusion that it is fun, or that it frees us of pain, the illusion that we get something better from it than real life, and the illusion of only one.
Many things we do under the influence of alcohol we would never do with a straight mind, and there’s often a lot of shame attached to not being able to stop doing it. I can work on many issues, but that one is often the one that needs to be released to really begin to heal the body mind, and soul.
