Liquid Grief
Liquid grief, two words I had the pleasure of reading, a friend sent me a few paragraphs from a book that mentioned the words liquid grief those words stood out.
We do become quite distorted in our bodies and minds from life. We fight battles that are not ours. We look for love from the loveless. We work to accumulate things we never own. We worry about losing life before we live it.
We do not feel safe to look life in the eye. We live on a wave of what might happen and what might not. We do not communicate with others from the heart and do not give ourselves our own heart pleasure.
The waking it is subtle and gentle, to begin with, it then gets fierce like a wave that we are riding and no chance of escaping and the fear of the crash landing.
Awakening comes and when it does it is refreshing to the heart and soul. When it happens, we notice our bodies ache and we look tired and forlorn. The crow's feet, the signs it could be over before we know it.
All the years of mechanical thinking and being, all those tears we stuffed down and did not shed. All those things we own we do not need.
Time to breathe my friends. Releasing the grip, the breath returns like coming up for air and the eyes sparkle and the child within gets to giggle and know that none of it was meant to be taken seriously, none of it at all. So, when we get to that stage of tears our liquid grief, we can be sure we are finally waking up.
